fun summer camp which instills proper manners and etiquette through hands-on interactive learning. Through friendly props, puppets, activities and songs, each day will address a new topic of interest in
the areas of Social, Communications and Table Manners Etiquette. Parent or Guardian must attend camp with child.
Due to the cumulative nature
of these classes, parents should plan to enroll their child for the entire week vs. day to day.

about Manners Day!
What is Etiquette? Meeting and Greeting. Making Conversation, Making Eye Contact, Hand Shaking, Interacting with other
people, taking turns with others, sharing. Children will enjoy games, fun manners activities/art
projects, and a snack.
Tuesday
Mealtime
Manners Matter Day!
Proper Table Manners, How to Set an Informal Table Setting, Speaking Clearly at the Table, when not to interrupt, clearing
the table, restaurant manners. Children will have a boy/girl friendly Tea! The children will enjoy games, fun manners activities/art projects and a snack. Receive
a Table Setting Practice Kit to take home.
Wednesday
Health,
Appearance, Presentation Day! What
are germs? Keeping clean, Healthy
Eating Habits, The Children’s Food Pyramid, The Food Groups. Taking care of your teeth, Drinking water, the Importance
of Exercise. Good Sportsmanship, sharing on the playground, including others
in play, No one left out!, The importance of good rest. The children will enjoy games, fun manners activities/art projects and a snack.
Thursday
Communications
Day! Properly Communicating, Proper Telephone Manners,
what is the telephone, the telephone is not a toy, waiting patiently while someone is on the phone, the importance of 911.
Proper manners in public, elevator Etiquette, Escalator Etiquette, Movie Theater Etiquette, Etiquette on a school bus, Honoring
and Respecting Adults (especially Principals, Officers, Firefighters, Teachers, etc.) Avoiding Rude Behaviors. The children will enjoy games, fun manners activities/art
projects and a snack. Children will work to learn their own Telephone Numbers.
Friday
PARTY
Day! Party
Manners and Social Skills. Children will be given a mock Birthday Party for
the P’s and Q’s mascot “Nelli the Bear” who is turning 6! They
will receive an invitation earlier in the week. What do you do when you receive an invitation,
What is an RSVP? Behaving like a good host and good guest. Thanking your Hostess thank you notes. The children will enjoy games, fun manners activities/art projects and a snack. Children will be given thank you
notes to take home.
